A small-scale, nature-focused woodland enterprise producing timber using low-impact methods
About
We are a small-scale woodland enterprise. We are gradually removing Sitka spruce from the Comar Wood PAWS using low-impact techniques (hand felling, extraction with winch). We aim to increase light levels but maintain woodland cover to help preserve ancient woodland remnants and woodland specialist species.
As spruce is gradually removed, we will help the woodland regenerate with a more diverse range of species, which we will continue to manage productively and sensitively.
Our timber sales help to fund ongoing work. When buying our timber you are supporting low-impact, nature-focused woodland management and a small-scale rural enterprise.
